Does anyone (Sara?)know anything about fractals. I watched Nova on channel 18 last night and lost a lot of sleep thinking about them. So much so that I emailed a math professor I know and asked questions and gave my thoughts. I hope that is the end of it and I get some sleep tonight.

There's a really great book called Chaos by James Gleick you might enjoy reading. As well, you might check out this wiki site about chaos theory.
Wait until Friday, George. Have a happy birthday today.
man, adam, he was asking me!!!!
its no fair, dad, adam stole my thunder. chaos is a super good book (its by the guy that wrote genius, that feynman bio). also, i think i have a book or two about (partly) fractals.
what professor did you email?
She is a teacher at Willow International. I guess I said professor out of habit.
i think i have a book about beauty in math that covers fractals. and it sucks not getting sleep over math. i was that way with fibonacci in nature, and with my 'discovery' of subatomic particles, not to mention super simple stuff like newtons laws, lol.
